Bruins Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli issued the following update today, December 7, on Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk: Johnny has been diagnosed with a back sprain and will be out for approximately three to seven days.
Great news for the Bruins on this one. On Thursday night it looked like the Bruins were going to be without one of their key defenders for a significant period of time. It's always scary seeing something like that happen to anyone and thankfully Boychuck will be back on the ice sooner rather than later.
The Bruins continue play tonight as they return home to face the Penguins, in what should be another tough game. From there the Bruins start a 4 game Canadian road trip.
