Dates to circle on the 2014-2015 schedule

The full schedule for the 2014-2015 NHL season was released yesterday. The Bruins, who could look a little different come September based on their cap issues, should view this upcoming season as one of redemption. After this year's disappointing ending to the season, the B's should be looking to re-establish their presence as a top team in the league and prove that they are still a force to be reckoned with.

Here are some important dates from the 2014-15 season to circle on your calendars:

    October 8-Home/Season Opener vs. Flyers

October 15-Rematch against the Bruins' 2014 first round opponents, the Red Wings

October 16-Rematch against the Habs. Should be a very emotional game, Looch will enjoy this one

November 1 to 10-Four-game home stand, with the Senators, Panthers, Oilers, and Devils coming to town, respectively

November 22-Habs' first trip of the season to Boston

November 24-Sidney Crosby and the Penguins come to Boston

November 28-Black Friday home game vs. Winnipeg. We tend to get matinee games on Black Friday, but this year it will be a 7:00 start

December 1 to 6-West Coast road trip. B's will face Ducks, Kings, Sharks, and Coyotes, respectively

December 11-Bruins take on the Blackhawks at home. Always an exciting game

February 13 to 22-Five-game Western Conference road trip against the Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Blues, and Blackhawks, respectively

February 28 to March 8-Four-game home stand against the Coyotes, Flames, Flyers, and Red Wings, respectively

April 11-Final game of the regular season vs. Tampa Bay

    Other notes on the schedule:

•9 of 12 games in November are at home

•The two busiest months will be December, in which there will be 14 games, and March, with 15 games.
