Shipping Out of Boston: Bruins likely to dish out young d-men in multi-player trade

The Bruins are looking to send away a young defenseman... could Torey be the guy?
While the core of the Bruins roster has remained strong over the off-season, some holes have opened up following the departure of Jarome Iginla, Shawn Thornton, and Chad Johnson.

Now, well into July, the Bruins have been unable to make a move in the free-agent department, largely due to the minimal cap space they have remaining. Chances are, the Bruins will turn their heads away from the free-agent market, and toward the trading market, where they'll look to make a splash.

With the absence of Dennis Seidenberg and Adam McQuaid for the majority of last season, the Bruins young defensive talent was able to show their skills at an NHL level, and did so with very few flaws.

It's become very clear that the Bruins have a surplus of young talent at the blue-line, and it's likely that they'll turn to dealing some of them out in order to fill the necessary holes.

It appears the Bruins will probably send away several players, predominantly defensemen (probably young ones), and possibly a forward as well.

Bruins analyst Andy Brickley said on NESN that he expects the Bruins to make a "multi-player deal to change the look of their team"

Will the Bruins dish out a veteran who's still pretty young, like Johnny Boychuk, or will they look down the very young lane, at players like Matt Bartkowski, Dougie Hamilton, or Torey Krug? And which forward would they potentially throw in?

It appears that somebody is on the way out. The question is... Who?

    Stay tuned.
