And Boom Goes the Dynamite: Bruins: 5 Canes: 3

Khudobin played a great game helping the B's stay in it til the end

Raleigh NC- The Bruins started the game off with a bang on the penalty kill as Chara fed Marchand for a rip over Cam Ward. Three minutes later on the powerplay, Chara got his glory on a wrister from the point that finding its way past a Lucic screened Ward. It looked like it was going to be a sure blowout, but with 5 minutes left the Canes cut the deficit in half  as Jamie McBain scored.

The second period was sloppy to say the least as the Bruins were a man down for a majority, but Horton made a sweet move extending the lead 3-1. The Canes would then score back to back goals to end the period as Skinner undressed Khoudobin and then Alex Semin would feed a streaking Eric Staal. The game would be tied at 3 at the end of 2.

The third period went back and forth until late, when Dougie Hamilton found Krejci who put it by Ward who was already on the ground from Horton's initial shot. Seguin would then seal the deal with his first of the season on an empty netter powerplay goal.

A couple key things. Penalty kill is still perfect. Powerplay went 2-4 tonight. Khudobin played well giving Tuukka some rest as he went 29-32 with a .906 save percentage, not bad for the back up.
Lucic and Bergeron both had tussles, as Lucic fought Tim Gleason halfway through the first, and Bergeron got pushed by Jeff Skinner, which resulted in simultaneous roughing penalties.

The Bruins move to 4-0-1 on the short season and go back at it tomorrow at the Garden vs the Devils.
