Round 2 recap: Rangers fight back, Blackhawks take 3-2 series lead

    via ESPN.com
After the Rangers dropped both games on home ice at Madison Square Garden and falling behind 3-1 in their series, the Rags were dead in the water and positioned to go down without much of a fight to the Penguins.

But fueled by heartbreak for one of the most respected players in the league, the Rangers have found the drive in them to fight back and force a decisive Game 7 vs Pittsburgh.

Last Thursday, Martin St. Louis' mother, France, passed away unexpectedly in Montreal. St. Louis visited his father and other family members to grief, then had to rush back to his team and play Game 5 in Pittsburgh. Facing elimination, the Rangers won 5-1.

Yesterday, on Mother's Day, with New York again facing elimination, the Rangers found it in them to pull out another win, taking Game 6 by a final of 3-1.

St. Louis scored the first goal in the game.
