Stars' Roussel suspended two games for cross-check on McQuaid

Dallas Stars left wing Antoine Roussel has been suspended for two games for a cross-check to the throat of Adam McQuaid.

The cross-check came only four minutes into the first period during Tuesday night's game against Dallas. McQuaid was ready to throw hands but Roussel was quick to think otherwise, raising his stick and delivering a quick jab straight to McQuaid's throat. The Boston defenseman fell immediately to the ice, and Roussel was given a five minute major and ejected from the game.

Roussel will lose $21,505.38 in salary in addition to his suspension. Roussel was fined earlier this season for sucker punching Justin Braun of the San Jose Sharks.
