The Bruins closed out the season series against the Montreal Canadiens with a 3-1 loss.

The Bruins' first good scoring chance came after a scramble in front of the Canadiens' net that saw Carey Price down and out of position. After a few good looks from the fourth line, the Canadiens were able to recover without letting in a goal. The two teams would head to the second, scoreless.

Dale Weise tapped the puck in past Tuukka Rask, giving Montreal the lead within the first minute of the second. Despite a handful of good chances, the Bruins were unable to tie it up before heading into the third.

Max Pacioretty opened the third with a breakaway goal less than a minute into the third. After a scramble out in front of Carey Price late into the third, David Pastrnak got a whack at the puck that was tapped in by David Krejci. After a review of the call, the refs deemed it a good goal. An empty net goal by Andrei Markov sealed the Bruins fate in the final seconds of the game.
