The Boston Bruins announced today that they have traded defenseman Dougie Hamilton to the Calgary Flames in exchange for the 15th, 45th, and 52nd overall picks in the 2015 NHL Draft.

The 22-year-old defenseman posted 22 goals and 61 assists in 178 games played with the Bruins. A restricted free agent at the end of the 2014-15 NHL season, Bruins GM Don Sweeney said the club had been in negotiations with Hamilton since the Bruins failed to make the playoffs.
