Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reported earlier that the Bruins have recalled center Alexander Khokhlachev from Providence. According to WEEI’s DJ Bean, it is unclear where Khokhlachev will slot in, as the Bruins will not take morning skate; the most obvious guess would be to put him alongside Seth Griffith and Milan Lucic, to replace injured center David Krejci.

In Providence, Khokhlachev centers a line alongside wingers Jordan Caron and David Pastrnak. Khokhlachev is coming off of an impressive stretch with Providence. In twelve games, he has notched five goals and six assists for eleven points.

Edit: At noon today, Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced that Khokhlachev has been recalled on an emergency basis. Providence Journal reporter Mark Divver reported the reason Khokhlachev was called up could be in relation to a possible injury to Carl Soderberg last night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
