The Bruins won tonight's contest against the New York Islanders, walking away with a 2-1 victory.

Only 1:53 into the game, Torey Krug and Ryan Strome dropped the gloves, with Strome getting the better of Krug. The Islanders struck first. John Tavares jumped on Frans Nielsen's rebound to pot a power play goal, giving the Islanders the 1-0 lead. With Ryan Strome sitting for hooking, Patrice Bergeron potted the equalizer early into the power play.

A hit from Cal Clutterbuck shook Torey Krug up enough for a trip down the tunnel. He returned to the bench shortly after. After 40 minutes, the game was still knotted 1-1.

Late into the third, Chris Kelly forced a turnover that tipped the momentum in the Bruins' favor. Soderberg tried to tip the puck in and Loui Eriksson found the rebound, scoring from between his legs to give the Bruins the winning goal.
