UPDATE: The Bruins had a fire sale today

Todays trade line has conconculeded and the Bruins traded most of the meaningful players that they have left, or arent hurt. They traded Trent Frederic to the Edmonton Oilers, Brandon Carlo to the Toronto Leafs, Charlie Coyle to the Colorado Avalacne, and team captain Brad Marchand, to the Florida Panthers. Disgusting, I know. The full details of the Marchy and Carlo trade are unknown.

**Heres the details of the Marchy trade:

**Here are the details of the Coyle trade:

**I also failed to mention the Justin Brazeau, as I didn't think it belonged in the group of players that were mentioned above:

After the last few games, this was the right move. It really sucks as a fan. You lose a all-time great Bruin, who was also your team captain, you lose two glue guys like Freddy and Coyle, and Carlo was tremendous on the penalty kill. With that being said, I don't think any Bruins fan watched last nights game and thought that they should buy at the deadline. I don't think anyone thought that this team should buy even going back a few weeks.

These trades point to the idea that despite fan criticism, the Bruins are keeping Don Sweeny and Cam Neely around for the forseable future. I can't imagine that they would be allowed to hold this fire sale if they would be let go after this season. I personally, wouldv'e liked to see both of them get fired as well and from captain to GM, having a full blown reset. Lastly, I cant imagine what it would be like to be Pasta right now and I like that the Bruins kept Geekie around, but the entire team he (for a lack of better term) grew up with is gone. It's too bad really and it's a tough pill to swallow as a fan.

Note: I will continue to edit this blog as the information on returns comes in.
