Bruins extend qualifying offers to 10 free agents

The Bruins have extended qualifying offers to ten of their free agents, according to Joe Haggerty. Torey Krug, Reilly Smith, Matt Bartkowski, Justin Florek, Zach Trotman, David Warsofsky, Tommy Cross, Craig Cunningham, Tyler Randell and Matt Fraser have all been qualified and are expected to sign with the Bruins.

Contract negotiations with Krug and Smith have not yet begun, but since they are restricted free agents, the Bruins can focus on their negotiations with Jarome Iginla for now.

An offer has not been given to RFA Jordan Caron, and the Bruins are actively shopping his rights. If no deal is made via trade, there is still the possibility of the B's signing him.

Caron could use a fresh start on a different team, since he never reached his full potential in Boston. The former first round pick would benefit from a trade by getting the opportunity to play regularly with a different team.
