    Bruins beat Jets in shootout

Greg Cambell crashes the net in the Bruin's shootout victory

The Bruins got the win on Monday afternoon beating the Winnipeg Jets in a shootout. Bergy and Seguin scored on sweet little shots to out score the jets 2-1 after the 5 minute overtime.

The B’s came out of the gate slow and sloppy and let the Jets jump on the board first. Chris Thorburn buried a juicy rebound given up by Rask to put Winnipeg up 1-0 just under two minutes into the game. Marchand answered the Jets goal by deflecting in a perfect pass from Tyler Seguin with 14:12 left in the first. Bruins picked up the pace after scoring and dominated the game up and down the ice. Bruins had numerous scoring chances throughout the game but failed to finish another one in regulation hitting the bar 5 times. The Bruins PK came through huge killing off two penalties in OT to force the shootout. The power play had some good opportunities but once again failed to score. The PP is now 0-8 on the season. Tuukka made 26 stops including a couple big glove saves and two big stops in the shootout to help the B's secure the W.

Lucic looked good today skating hard all game and throwing his body around on every opportunity he was given. Dougie fresh looked nice on the point, he appeared very comfortable holding down the blue line during his 23:27 of ice time and made smart moves with the puck. The Bergy line combined for 9 shots on net but only finished once. Seguin needs to start scoring some goals in regulation for this team and he needs to start scoring them yesterday.

Up next the B's face the Rangers on Wednesday night at the Madison Square Garden. The Bruins look to stay undefeated on the season and get their third straight win.
