    Bruins Recall Jamie Tardif

Bruins Enforcer Shawn Thornton Failed to Return
to Game Action After His Fight in the
     Early goings of Thursday's game

Not only did the Bruins get beat up on the scoreboard last night, but they also got beat up physically. Thornton, Paille, Bergeron and Hamilton all sustained injuries last night, however Bergeron and Hamilton were able to return to action.

Earlier this morning the Bruins recalled veteran AHLer (28yr old)  Jamie Tardif on emergency basis. Tardif was part of the abbreviated training camp for the B's and so far has 21 goals and 9 assists for 30 points during 39 games for Providence. He currently is the second highest goal scorer in the AHL.

This is probably just for depth as the Bruins are facing a hit or miss Maple Leafs team. Toronto is 4-3 with 8 points. From the way it looks Julien may sit Thornton and to give him some time to recuperate. Thornton got man handled by a 6'8" 270 pound goon in John Scott. Paille should get the start on the third line Saturday after having a double minor drawed on him as he got hit by a high stick late in the third. However, the third line finally produced last night with a goal from Rich Peverley.

Tardif will probably be on the 4th line with Lane MacDermid and Gregory Campbell.
