    Bruins fall to Islanders 2 - 1

Tonight's game against the Islanders was the epitome of Boston Bruins hockey the past month. Decent enough first period turns into a lesson in lethargy in second and third periods. Granted, Boston did play last night in New Jersey while the Islanders were in Boston watching the Red Sox shit themselves in the 8th inning but still, here was a game where Tuukka Rask stood on his head and Bruins forwards just could not find the back of the net. The scoring started with Josh Bailey slipping one past Rask with thirty-seconds left in the first period. The Bruins answered (on the powerplay) when Greg Campbell, on a feed from Jagr, threw a puck towards the net that Tyler Seguin buried top shelf. 10 minutes later Bailey netted his second of the night on a shot that Tuukka Rask really should have stopped.

That was the extent of the scoring for this one, folks. Same old, same old. The Bruins looked tired towards the end of the second period, Milan Lucic continues to do a great impression of Casper the Friendly Ghost, and Jaromir Jagr is racking up points like a madman.

With the loss and a Canadians win, the Boston Bruins once again drop into second place in the North East division.
