The Boston Bruins sent four more players to Providence Saturday morning. Opening night at the TD Garden is this upcoming Thursday October 3rd against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the B's are now one step closer to getting that opening night roster. Matt Fraser, Matt Lindblad, Ryan Spooner and Niklas Svedberg have all been sent to skate for the Providence Bruins. With Svedberg going down it means that Chad Johnson has won the backup goalie role and will be behind Tuukka Rask to start the season.

The opening night lines appear to be David Krejci, Milan Lucic, Jarome Iginla, Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, Loui Eriksson, with the fourth line of Campbell, Thornton, and Paille. The third line with Chis Kelly and Carl Soderberg will either have Nick Johnson or Jordan Caron joining them. Both Johnson and Caron have to clear waivers to make it back down to Providence so the B’s could lose whoever gets sent down. Bobby Robbins is also most likely to be sent down.

On the defensive side it looks pretty stable with the regulars of last year. Dennis Seidenberg, Zdeno Chara, Adam McQuaid, Jonny Boychuck and probably a mix of Douggie Hamilton, Torey Krug, and Matt Bartkowski. Kevan Miller is expected to join the P-Bruins.
