Former Bruin Rich Peverley collapses during game; has regained consciousness
Former Boston Bruin and current Dallas Star Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench during the Stars' game versus the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday night.
The game was postponed for 15-minutes before being suspended all together after the Stars consulted with the NHL as "a result of the emotional state of the players on both teams caused by the medical emergency."
A decision will be made on a later date about how to address the remainder of the game.
Peverley was taken to the hospital and was conscious. He even wanted to keep playing after regaining consciousness. Of course he did, he's a hockey player.
Per Dr. Salazar, Peverley was aware of where he was when became conscious and wanted to get back in to the game.

Peverley does have a history of dealing with an irregular heartbeat in the past, as he missed the preseason in September when trainers picked up the irregular heartbeat on an EKG on Peverley's physical.
Per the Dallas Stars twitter feed, Peverley will undergo more tests in the coming days and provide more updates as they come.
