Per a report on ESPNBoston.com by Joe McDonald, "The Boston Bruins have placed top-line center David Krejci on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury he suffered in the second period of Saturday's final preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings at TD Garden".

Because of the new collective bargaining agreement, Krejci will have to miss at least seven days from the date of the injury. This means Krejci will not play tonight against the Flyers and will also miss Thursday's game against Detroit and Saturday's game against the Washington Capitals.

The Bruins are playing this injury very close to the vest, calling it an "undisclosed injury". The replacement for Krejci at center has not yet been determined, but according to the Bruins twitter (@NHLBruins), this morning's lines at practice had Ryan Spooner centering Milan Lucic and Matt Fraser. Louis Eriksson was not the RW on the line with Lucic.

Who do you think should replace Krejci at center during his stint on the IR? Let us know.
