The contract negotiation saga between the Bruins and starting goaltender Jeremy Swayman have come to an end. With only three days remaining until the Bruins season opener, both sides were able to put the nightmare scenario to bed. The contract is eight years long with an average anual value of 8.25 million dollars. It has also been reported that there is also worth up to twenty million dollars in incentives on his contract.

Swayman is expected to speak to the media today and I don't expect him to say much about the negotiations. Bruins' General Manager Earlier, Don Sweeny talked about the two sides finally getting a deal done.

“It’s a big day for the Boston Bruins and for Jeremy (Swayman) to be celebrating and moving forward and we’re excited that he’ll be on the plane (to Florida) today.”
