Playoffs day 8: Jackets, Blackhawks and Stars all get even with wins on home-ice
As has been the case for the Western Conference so far in the postseason, Wednesday night's games did nothing to break the well-established trend: home teams simply do not lose.
Continuing the incredible run for home teams were the Dallas Stars and the Chicago Blackhawks. After both clubs went down 0-2 with road losses in Anaheim and St. Louis, both the Stars and the 'Hawks returned the favor and won Games 3 and 4 in their own building.
As for the Penguins, they got a nice little reminder that three goal leads are the worst to have in hockey. After going up 3-0 in the first period, the Pens proceeded to give up four straight goals, with the third coming in the last 20 seconds of regulation, and then Nick Foligno's game-winner in overtime.
Pittsburgh Penguins @ Columbus Blue Jackets: 3 - 4, series tied 2 - 2
Anaheim Ducks @ Dallas Stars: 2 - 4, series tied 2 - 2
St. Louis Blues @ Chicago Blackhawks: 3 - 4. series tied 2 - 2
